Explore Pumpkinee Pumpkin
Making Pumpkinee Pumpkin
Pumpkinee Pumpkin is a story of finding friendship in the pumpkin patch. I wrote and illustrated this book in 2020.
I dedicated this book to my Grandma Gray.
My first illustrations were done on pressed paper with ink and watercolor.
As my artistic process developed, I created digital paintings of each illustration.
First, I sketched my illustrations by hand on paper.
Then, I re-drew them and painted them digitally.
Each pumpkin finds a special friend.
I loved designing the magic for this pumpkin!
Would Pumpkinee Pumpkin ever find a friend?
The little girl in this illustration is wearing a sweater that was inspired by my travels to Iceland.
My favorite thing about Pumpkinee Pumpkin are the little details, like this. You can find an owl, a mouse and a black bird in each illustration.
